It Started With a
Simple Observation
Sparrows were disappearing from our homes. The chirping that once woke us up every morning — gone. Founder Navneet Pandey noticed this in the lanes of Bajardiha, Varanasi, and refused to accept it as inevitable.
What began as one man distributing handmade nest boxes to his neighbours quietly grew into one of India's most recognised sparrow conservation movements — covered by national dailies, supported by Bollywood celebrities, and powered by thousands of ordinary citizens.
Today, Vyagr Foundation has installed 80,000+ nests across 50+ cities, sheltered 400,000+ sparrows, and turned weddings, birthdays, and school drives into conservation milestones.
